Ive created a custom list definition where I have a field of type Html with RichText set to true, and RichTextMode set to FullHtml. I'm currently unable to detect a value in that field clientside using javascript nor jquery.
I think I'm close, as Ive found the element where content is added once "click here to add new content" is selected.
The behavior I'm seeing is, if the form is newly opened, and the "click here" isn't clicked yet, then checking the text value works fine (comes back empty). As soon as its clicked, even if no text is entered, a zero width space is added as​
I suppose I could do a few if/elses, but was wondering if there is a cleaner way to see if there is a value in there through clientside validation?
