Set workflow status in sequential workflow

hi all,

i have a sequential workflow in vs2010 for a sharepiont 2010 library.  i have some code conditions and error traps to write out the result to the workflow history.  this workflow has no associated tasks, it simply processes an infopath form to upload into a database (microsoft dynamics gp).

i cant seem to set the workflow status.  i add a SetState workflow action at the bottom of the workflow, and set the State property to a "5" (five), but it always reports "Error Occurred in <workflow>"

If i have an error, i want the status to show "error occurred", if everything went ok, i want it to say "completed".

Im not trying to set a custom status, just one of the already enumerated statuses. 

Why cant i get this to work for me?  Im sure I am just missing one little thing.
