Applying FBA in SharePoint 2010 in the existing port 80 web application

Dear all,

I am planning to implement FBA in my existing sharepoint 2010 web application.

I am following through this article by Amit Jain

The document/article does refer - create a new webapplication and create form based authentication steps etc.

Can somebody throw light on this.

If you have some documentation on FBA which I can apply in existing port 80 web application would be helpful. I will also test this in standalone test environment and implement it in production environment.
