Changing the Primary key in a Sharepoint list

When I upload a Access table to Sharepoint that already has a Primary key,  The new list renumbers the Primary Key field starting at 1.   I need to be able to retain the same numbers in the list as it did in the table so that all my interelational historic data will still link all together and be correct.
