sharepoint 2010 wcf using rest api for list item insert

hello,

I nee to use wcf services in c# using rest api to insert item to a list ,how can i do that and as well as i am going to use for loop to insert items one by one but if accidently intranet connection goes out ,some items gets inserted and some will not ,whether it will create a probem.

please help me with this.
