I have been told that DocumentSets will allow someone to approval muiltiple documents??
I dont know of any applications that allows you to approve of more then 1 document at a time. unless it is a matter of changing a status column to approve items while look at them all.
How can you approve more then one document at a time. to me, DocumentSets, and a workflows could tell the person to go to the documentSet and look at all the related documents in one folder. And then approve them.
But isnt that just a new innerface for how lists and customlist forms can show an the documents for an item in one location and then a workflow to tell somone click this link to go to the item in a Dataview or a customlist xslt page or a webpart page and see all the attachments for the new item and approve them, and then once a status is change have that trigger a new workflow?
As I was thinking of bulding custom list forms, for example:
with the Item WR123 and then in the app.
have the infopath form attached to a Document list( library either one), as the template ( for when they click new document). then the infopath form fill out some columns.
the next item would be a display page where you can see the all the items entered. plus other columns to be filled out
next there would be a edit page. where people can update change column data and upload attachments.
then the attachment column would have the original form, and additional documents and when they are ready for review. a workflow would send the link to the proper person for them to review all the data and the documents and then approve the document after reviewing them or rejecting and then workflows would be build off of those items.
Is this all possible? without using documentsets?
