Contract Management in SharePoint 2010

Hi,

We want to create one application for Contract Management. In which we want to send email notification prior to couple of days of contract expiration date. We also want to generate Reports for Management to see cost spent every year on various Contracts. Please suggest SharePoint 2010 features we can use to fulfill our requirements with SharePoint 2010.
